And art...(julia goodman)

The fog here is thick, and I think about navigating blindly using senses other than sight...namely touch and smell. Experimenting making paper with the different scented plants from the garden, and also casting paper to capture the different textures in the area. I am intrigued by local mark making, by JB and other artists-in-residence, but also by woodpeckers, termites and other mystery creatures. I am also working on interlacing this with sections of old letters that I found thanks to the Jack Mason Archive and Dewey Linvingston.

casting the faces of wood pile of scraps from JB, arranged on the property by Mariah

more pics to come...or come see the work yourself at Open Studios!
